The 3rd graders are learning how to record reading responses to share about the books they are reading. A few choices they can do are to record their connections, summarize, evaluate (share what they liked/didn't like) or talk about the character/setting. It's been fun to see what they are reading about!
This week the class started checking out books in the library. They can check out 4 books- 2 choice books and 2 good fit books. They enjoyed exploring the library!
They also started checking out books in our classroom library. They have been building their reading stamina and are really interested in many topics!
